Sibanye-Stillwater is offering a Learner Miner (18.2) Learnership Programme designed to help young people gain the skills and hands-on experience needed to start a career in the mining industry.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Have a Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
– Be medically fit to work in a mining environment
Have a clear security screening record
Have a valid driver’s licence (if applicable)

Advantage

Relevant experience in mining or a similar field

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Complete all parts of the training programme on time
Follow all company rules, procedures, and safety standards
Attend SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) meetings
Wear and use the required safety equipment
Spot and report any dangerous situations
Carry out work to the required standards and as trained
Keep records of progress and share any challenges or suggestions

Selection Process

Prescreening and psychometric tests may be part of the process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for panel interviews
