DRIVER/MESSENGER REF NO: CSP/06/2026

SALARY: R163,680 per year

REQUIREMENTS: Must have Grade 10 or ABET Level 4.
At least one to two years of experience as a driver or messenger. Knowledge of traffic rules. Understanding of messenger and driver processes. Experience with confidential and classified documents. Knowing local roads and traffic laws. Ability to check vehicle condition and roadworthiness for safety. Ability to read and use GPS for navigation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, customerfocused attitude, and time management. Skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating. Good driving skills. Valid South African driver‘s license (Code 10 or C1). A Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).

DUTIES: Drive light and medium vehicles to transport people and deliver items such as mail and documents.
Take people and items to the right places. Help move employees between different places for official reasons. Deliver, collect, and send official documents, mail, and parcels to the correct locations. Follow safety rules and driving laws. Check the vehicle for oil, water, and other things before each trip. Report vehicle problems to the supervisor and keep the vehicle clean. Get permission before using the vehicle, fill out needed forms, and keep all receipts and records. Help check logs and records. Collect and deliver documents and related items in the department. Make copies and send emails of transport documents. Help in the registry office and do any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Assist with transport records and signing delivery notes. Preference will be given to Female African, Coloured, Indian, White, and Youth applicants as per the employment equity plan.
