Duties
Intermediate Phase Educators will be responsible for building and strengthening students‘ basic education and helping them develop abstract thinking and the ability to complete independent work across all subjects.
They will need to:
– Provide education that looks ahead to the future, where students are motivated, inspired, and challenged
– Show strong character, honesty, and professionalism at all times
– Build and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and the wider community
– Communicate and work with everyone in the learning community in a positive, respectful, and open–minded way
They will be responsible for the following key areas:
– Academic Teaching
– Academic Assessment and Reporting
– Student Behavior Management
– Promoting the School Brand
– Administrative Tasks
– Health and Safety
Qualifications and Experience
– An undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) and a PGCE or B. Education (Intermediate, Intersen, or Senior Phase)
– SACE certification and a police clearance are required
– 2 to 5 years of teaching experience
– Computer and digital skills
– First Aid knowledge
