About Harmony Gold Learnership Programme
Harmony Gold is one of the top gold mining and exploration companies in South Africa and around the world.
They offer structured learnership programs designed to build technical skills and help young people prepare for careers in the mining sector.
This learnership gives a great chance to get hands-on training, gain real–world experience, and learn important technical skills at one of South Africa’s biggest mining companies.
Available Learnership Fields
Harmony Gold offers learnerships in these trades:
– Rigger
– Boilermaker / Plater
– Electrician
– Auto Electrician
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all these requirements:
– Technical Grade 12 or:
– Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (minimum 50%)
– OR N2 (4 subjects with related trade theory)
– OR NCV Level 4 with Mathematics (minimum 50%) and trade theory
– Maths Literacy is not accepted
– Full N3 required for Instrumentation (with relevant subjects)
– Proof of residence (such as a municipal statement for water and lights)
– Must be medically fit
– Must be willing to take psychometric assessments
– Medical Certificate of Fitness
– Good English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
Advantageous Requirements
– N6 or Diploma in Engineering Studies
– Relevant qualification in your chosen field
– Valid driver’s licence
– Own reliable transport
– Ability to work in a team
– Willingness to work overtime or standby as needed
– Good communication skills
– Ability to follow safety and health rules
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Candidates will go through:
– Medical fitness assessment
– Psychometric tests
– Interviews
If you don’t get feedback within 3 months after the closing date, your application is considered unsuccessful.
