SALARY: R389 991 per year (within OSD framework)

REQUIREMENTS: Formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work) that
allows professional registration with the SACSSP. Registration with the South African Council of Social Service Professions as a Social Worker. A minimum 7 years of appropriate social work experience after registration as a Social
SACSSP worker. A valid driver’s license. skills to ensure supervised challenges the structural sources of poverty, inequality, oppression,
discrimination and exclusion efficiently and effectively. knowledge and Understanding of human behavior and social systems and skills to ensure that supervised intervene efficiently and effectively at the points where people interact with their environment to promote social well-being. the capacity and competence to ensure that supervisees assist, advocate and empower individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities to improve their social functioning and problem-solving abilities, prevent and relieve distress and utilize resources, efficiently and effectively. the understanding and ability to ensure supervisees provide social work
services to protect people who are vulnerable, at risk and unable to protect yourself Ability to compile complex reports.
DUTIES: Ensure that a social work service in terms of care, support, protection
and development of vulnerable individuals, groups, families and communities through the corresponding programs. Address any other matter could result in, or derive from, social instability in any way. Supervise employees
engaged in these functions. Supervise and advise social workers, auxiliary workers and volunteers to ensure an effective social work service.
