SALARY: R228 321 per year (Level 05)
CENTRE: Gauteng (Pretoria): Head Office

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Grade 12 Certificate.
No previous work experience is necessary. Job-related knowledge includes understanding clerical duties and practices, the ability to collect and enter data, use a computer, and gather statistics. Knowledge of the laws that apply to the Public Service is needed. Understanding of how to work in the organisation’s environment is also required. Job-related skills include good language skills, strong communication skills (both speaking and writing), planning and organisation abilities, computer skills, good interpersonal relationships, flexibility, and the ability to work with others as a team.

DUTIES: Provide general clerical support.
Record, organise, store, and retrieve letters and data (within the department). Keep and update records and statistics. Answer routine questions. Make copies and send or receive faxes. Deliver documents or packages to different people as needed. Maintain the filing system for the department. Type letters or other communications when required. Keep track of incoming and outgoing documents for the department. Offer support for the supply chain within the department. Work with both inside and outside people on buying goods and services. Get quotes and complete forms for buying standard office supplies. Manage the stock of office supplies. Keep track of the asset list for the department. Provide administrative support for staff within the department. Keep a record of leaves for the department. Maintain staff records in the department. Keep track of who is present and who is absent. Arrange travel and accommodation. Provide financial support within the department. Record and update spending in the department. Check if claims for expenses and travel are correct and submit them to the manager for approval. Handle phone bills and small cash payments for the department.
