REQUIREMENTS : Applicants should be in possession of Basic Education and Training (NQF stage
3) or higher. Registered as Security Officer with Private Security Industry
Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade C certificate. Job associated knowledge:
Knowledge of get entry to manage procedures. Knowledge of measures for the
control and motion of tools and stores. Knowledge of prescribed
security methods (e.g. (Minimum Information Security Standard (MISS),
Criminal Procedure Act, Minimum Physical Security Standard (MPSS),
Protection of Information Act, etc) and the authority of safety officers beneath
these documents. Knowledge on the applicable emergency procedures.
Willingness to work 12 hours shifts, tour and work irregular hours (afterhours,
weekends and public holidays).
DUTIES : Perform get admission to manipulate functions. Determine whether or not traffic have
appointments/or the provider that the traveller requires. Contact the applicable
employee to verify the appointment or refer the tourist to the applicable provider
delivery point. Complete or make certain that the admission manage register is
completed and problem admission manage archives / playing cards as required. Escort
visitors to applicable personnel / venue the place required. Operate X-ray machines
where applicable. Lock and release entrances.
