Experience: Adequate experience in large scale hospital catering. Adequate experience of therapeutic diets, food groups, preparation and cooking methods, and quality control and food portions according to standardized recipes. Adequate experience of the Cook-Chill System. Adequate patient experience room service.i.e hostess. Requirements inherent to the position: Ability to work in shifts. (weekends and holidays). Must be willing to enter hospital wards and attend the patients. Ability to perform work of a physical nature. Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Ability to maintain good interpersonal skills. ability to<br>communicate in at least two of the three official languages \u200b\u200bof the Western Cape. The proof of attendance of Kitchen Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaner or Chef&#8217;s Assistant, will be an added advantage. Ability to function within a team and work under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DUTIES : Use the Cook Chill system, prepare, cook, plate, regenerate, serve food and beverages to patients in accordance with the PAWC Food Service Policy. Follow PAWC&#8217;s standardized receipts and menus. Clean and maintain kitchen area and equipment and adhere to health and safety regulations. Communicate with patients and kitchen staff, as well as provide feedback on issues and make recommendations to the food service supervisor.
