REQUIREMENTS: Senior Certificate plus 3 years recognized qualification in relevant field ie.
Chemical engineering; Chemistry, Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Health.
Valid driver’s license. Knowledge: Departmental policies and procedures.
Occupational Safety and Health Act, as amended, Regulation (21), South Africa
National Standards (codes \u2013 Incorporated Codes become regulations,
Occupational Injury and Illness Compensation Law, Unemployment
Insurance Law. Skills: planning and organization, communication skills, computing
Literacy, facilitation skills, interpersonal skills, conflict management skills, negotiation,
Problem solving Verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DUTIES: Independently plan and conduct inspection in order to ensure compliance
with the Law on Safety and Health at Work, Law 85 of 1993, Regulations and
Built-in rules. To confirm enrollment in Unemployment Insurance
and the Law on Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Illnesses. Plan,
independently investigate and finalize reported incidents and complaints
to the OHS Act and relevant regulations and enforce when necessary,
appear in court as a state witness. Plan and perform assigned proactive inspections
according to the schedule to monitor compliance with relevant labor legislation, including
compile and consolidate the reports emanating from said inspections. plan and
carry out promotional campaigns on all labor legislation independently, analyze
their impact, consolidate and prepare a report on them. contribute to a greater
to planning, drafting and maintaining regional inspection plans and reports
including, execution of analyzes and compilation of consolidated statistical reports
in the regional and assigned case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
