SALARY: R104 073 per annum

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirement: Basic knowledge of arithmetic and reading. (Attach proof) Experience: Adequate experience as a cleaner in a Health Center. Suitable Experience in the use of cleaning equipment, materials and detergents. Adequate experience in infection control and occupational health and safety. Inherent Job Requirements: Willingness to work shifts (weekends and holidays) and willingness to receive training and relief staff in other departments as the need arises (CSSD, Shop, Laundry, Kitchen), etc. In good physical shape and able to lift and/or move heavy objects and supplies. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Fluency (reading, speaking and writing) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. good interpersonal relationships skills. Knowledge of proper methods of handling and disposal of waste/waste products and adherence to cleaning policies and practices. Ability to operate machinery and equipment. Knowledge of Legislation and policies of the Department of Health relevant to clinical practice.
DUTIES: General housekeeping, housekeeping, and maintenance (i.e. dusting, sweeping, polishing, scrubbing, mopping, cleaning windows/walls/equipment/machinery, and trash removal. Plan and organize facility cleaning with available resources. Ensure a effective management of waste, control of linen, laundry and food services Efficient and Efficient use and storage of cleaning material and equipment. Provide optimal support for supervisor and colleagues with general cleaning duties and services. Adhere to a general hygienic and safe environment in terms of rules and procedures.
