SECURITY OFFICER
SALARY: R257,508 per annum
CENTER : Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 or equivalent qualifications. PSIRA Grade B, 5-7 Years of experience in Control Room Operations/Security Environment, National Key Point certificate, certificate of proficiency or proficiency in firearms, computer literacy, Valid EB (Code 08) driver’s license, Good interpersonal relations, Customer service focus, good communication (verbal, written and presentation), being prepared to work shifts, availability to work long hours and available 24 hours. Knowledge of the relevant Public Service Regulation Security Framework, Regulations and Procedures: National Key Points Law, 1980 (Law 102 of 1980); Law on Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles, 1985 (Law 53 of 1985), Occupational Health and Safety Law of 1993 (Law 85 of 1993), Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (Act 51 of 1977), Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Law 60 of 2000), MISS (Minimum Information Security Standards) and
MPSS (Minimum Physical Security Standards).
DUTIES: The selected candidate will be responsible for Security Supervision Supervisors (internal and subcontracted), Support the implementation of effective security operations and programs, Coordinate the reporting of any
Failures or defects of the Security Systems by the Security Officers, Support Security operations in the management and administration of resources, Support provision of effective and efficient security investigation services, support
the execution of security and protection operations, people management.
