The Diocesan School for Girls, located in Makhanda Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, offers young women1 with a passion for teaching and learning, who see themselves working towards a lifelong career in education, the opportunity to join our successful program of internships

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATES ARE WOMEN UNDER 25 YEARS OLD WHO:

share the values ​​and vision of DSG around transformation, diversity and belonging
are currently working towards a career in teaching (intermediate phase of BEd) OR plan to register for a PGCE via distance learning in 2023 and are interested in gaining professional experience in the workplace
offer co-curricular skills in sports or cultural activities
support Christian values ​​and the ethos of the school
FULL PARTICIPATION IS EXPECTED IN ALL ASPECTS OF SCHOOL LIFE, INCLUDING:

observe, help and complete the teaching practice in the classroom
contribute to the pastoral care of our girls through roles at a boarding house, tutoring, and bus roles
Sports training or management of a sports team (if applicable)
Help with clubs and cultural activities.
Actively support the DSG community engagement program
THE SCHOOL OFFERS:
