REQUIREMENTS :Grade 12 certificates with finance/accounting associated subjects.Computer literate in MS Office, MS Word and Excel. Basic understanding of the techniques and processes of the collection, recording and administration of debt and associated accounting transactions and moves are required.Reasoning, mathematical and trouble fixing ability. Ability to correctly communicate with clients/debtors. Positive, trustworthy, loyal, sound judgemental potential and aiming for zero defect. Added advantage: Post matric qualification in Finance/Accounting. A minimal of one 12 months applicable experience. A legitimate RSA/Military driver’ license.
DUTIES : Rendering help and help in controlling and retaining modern and new Departmental debt in the DOD. Regularly enforcing movements to get better outstanding debt from serving and ex-members of the SA National Defence Force (SANDF), Public Service Act Personnel (PSAP) and non-public institutions.Implementing and preserving strategies to efficiently deal with Departmental debt. Registering, put together outgoing correspondence and technique all associated accounting transactions. Liaising and corresponding with the State Attorney’s office. Implementing advantageous moves and approaches to make sure that closing dates are met and that Departmental debt is recovered. Constant collaborating,liaising and speaking with the Finance Clerk Supervisor in manage of the section. Strict utility of the prescripts contained in the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations (TR’s) and different relevant instructions. Recording, filling and safeguarding of all debtors administration related documentation and records for future reference and audit purposes.
